Nutrients Write for UsNutrients

Nutrients are chemical substances found in all living things on Earth. They are required to survive humans, plants, animals, and all other species. it aids in the breakdown of food to provide energy to organisms. They use in every bodily action of an organism. Some of the processes are growth (cell formation), repair (wound healing), and life maintenance (breathing).

Essential nutrients are those that the human body is incapable of synthesizing. So instead, they must get food or water. Essential nutrients include carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, proteins, and also minerals.

Why Do We Need Nutrients?

Every second of the day, our bodies work hard, implementing multiple functions simultaneously. Chemical substances, many of which generate in our bodies through chemical reactions, carry out these operations. However, our bodies cannot produce all the required imports, so we must eat foods rich in vital nutrients. Essential nutrients are those that our bodies cannot make on their own.

Macronutrients

Essential dietary nutrients that need to be consumed in large amounts to sustain life are called macronutrients. The body primarily uses macronutrients for extracting energy, storing energy, and building structures like enzymes, cells, tissues, and bones. The three categories of essential food macronutrients include (1) carbohydrates, (2) lipids, and (3) proteins.

  1. Carbohydrates-Carbohydrates provide energy. When you consume carbohydrates, your body converts them into “glucose” (blood sugar), which your cells utilize for energy.

Carbohydrates can obtain from pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, cereals, fruit, milk, and sugar

  1. lipids (fats) – Fats store energy, protect organs, encourage cell growth, and aid nutrient absorption.

Fats classify into two types: saturated (the “bad”) and unsaturated (the “good”).

Unsaturated fats can obtain through oil, nuts, seeds, avocados, and salmon.

  1. Protein – Proteins play a crucial role in growth and development. They also aid in tissue healing, oxygen transport, food digestion, and hormone regulation.

Meat, legumes (beans, peas, lentils), almonds, shellfish, and eggs are good protein sources.
